Project Information

Project title:
Domestic work network for young rural women in Dakar

Brief description:
The project aims to bring together demand and supply for qualified domestic labour. To achieve this, the project proposes to record job applications coming from the rural areas, and job offers made by urban women, and bring the two together. A newsletter, an internet site and a discussion group will be established. The address of the internet site will be widely disseminated in rural areas through all relevant state and private organisations, as well as in Dakar. The newsletter will publish job applications and offers, and the site will expand on the offers and applications, provide all the information likely to interest members of the network (legal information, domestic training, domestic work placement organisations, etc). The discussion group will be a forum for members to freely discuss issues related to the management of employee/employer relations.
